More than 1,400 attendees attended the 67th APM, which featured more than 600 education sessions that touched on a range of topics including social justice, addictions, disability issues, and social welfare policy and policy practice.

Since March 2020 ASWB, NASW, and CSWE have come together to share resources in Social Work Responds. These newsletters have allowed us to address challenges posed by the pandemic like adjusting to telesocialwork, testing delays, or teaching social work in a virtual environment. To continue to serve social workers, educators, and regulators everywhere, we are asking for your participation in a feedback survey.

CSWE is now accepting feedback on the second draft of the 2022 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS). Providing feedback at this stage is imperative; this will be the last public comment period for the 2022 EPAS.

Kesslyn Brade Stennis, PhD, MSW, MDiv, has joined the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) as the director of the Minority Fellowship Program (MFP). Brade Stennis previously served as the executive director of the Dorothy I. Height Center for the Advancement of Social Justice at Coppin State University where she was also a professor. She brings 25 years of education experience to the MFP and her scholarship has focused on topics that affect African American communities, faith communities, and women.

The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) College of Social Work & Criminal Justice highlights its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. ​The college was launched on July 1, 2020, with a mission to inspire and prepare criminal justice and social work leaders, scholars, practitioners, clinicians, and policymakers to enact positive change.

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is deeply saddened by the loss of Marion Bogo, O.C., LLD, MSW, who passed away on September 26, 2021. As a professor of social work at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, she was known for her tireless commitment to advancing social work education and her groundbreaking contributions to improving the way competence is assessed in social work students.
