MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR

Greetings!

Please let me share my excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to serve as chair of the CSWE Board of Directors. As we shift into this new season of challenge and innovative changes, I am appreciative of the talented CSWE Board and staff leadership, who bring amazing skill sets as well as new and innovative energy.

These are challenging times in our country and in social work education, which calls for rethinking how we advance the mission and vision of the organization. The new CSWE strategic goals provide the framework needed to ensure a well-educated social work profession is equipped to promote health, well-being, and justice for all people as our society becomes more and more wonderfully diverse.

As we move toward the 2019 Annual Program Meeting, please be mindful of how you can support and further the development of social work education so that we stay engaged and relevant. This newsletter provides an update on new and continuing initiatives at CSWE.

Questions? Ideas? Reach out and let us know! We look forward to having your input and ideas as we continue in a collaborative spirit of partnership.

Best Regards,

Saundra H. Starks
Chair, CSWE Board of Directors
