Older Americans Month: Tools and Resources

The mission of the Council on Social Work Education’s National Center for Gerontological Social Work Education (Gero-Ed Center) has been to advance and sustain visible, strategic, national social work leadership that bridges practice and education to better prepare social worker practitioners, faculty members, and students with geriatric competencies. The Gero-Ed Center provides students, educators, and practitioners with a wealth of invaluable resources and information and prepares social work faculty members and students to meet the demographic realities of our aging society. May is Older Americans Month, and we invite you to visit the Gero-Ed Center to access their teaching infusion resources, webinars, practice innovations, and the Specialized Practice Curricular Guide for Gero Social Work Practice.

CSWE thanks CVN, the military social work steering committee, and the military social work task force members for their dedication to this initiative. We would like to also extend our gratitude to all service members, veterans, and their families for their service to our country!
