“Your vote is precious. Almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have to create a more perfect union,” said the late civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis in 2012. On November 3, just 10 weeks from now, Americans can exercise one of their most sacred rights: voting. On Election Day, millions of people, including immigrants who have fought hard for citizenship and the precious right to vote, will go to the polls.
