Voting Is Social Work:
National Social Work Voter Mobilization Campaign

Voting Is Social Work is a campaign to integrate voter engagement into social work education and practice. The National Social Work Voter Mobilization Campaign encourages all social work students, faculty members, and organizations to engage and empower voters in their communities and to include nonpartisan voter registration, education, and outreach as part of their professional responsibilities and practice.

The campaign seeks to raise awareness of the importance of voting to social work practice and social policy; explain why voting matters to the social work community; integrate voter engagement activities into field education for all micro and macro students; offer voter mobilization skills and strategies for field instructors, staff members, students, and faculty members; and ensure that all the people we serve have access to the vote.

Visit the Voter Mobilization Campaign website to access resources that can be integrated into your teaching curriculum. The campaign offers support, training, and materials to agencies, field supervisors, students, and educators to help them register clients and engage voters across the nation. The site also allows users to upload their own resources to share with the public.
