CSWE Full Circle April 2013

Volume 2013, Issue 4

Colleagues,

The Council on Social Work Education joins others in the social work education community in expressing deep sadness about the bombings in Boston and those who were harmed or killed, as well as concern for the loved ones of the injured and the dead.

This recent episode is but one more example of the way in which violence destroys, disrupts, and disturbs our sense of safety and continuity. The messages that have been exchanged in the aftermath of this event serve to reestablish our connectedness—a necessary antidote to these effects.
