Interprofessional Education Summit
Doing Justice to Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practices

Building on the 2018 APM theme, "Expanding Interprofessional Education to Achieve Social Justice," CSWE is hosting an all-day postconference Interprofessional Education (IPE) Summit on Sunday, November 11, 2018, 8:30 am–6:00 pm.
The IPE Summit will bring together a community of leaders and educators focused on advancing interprofessional team-based practice and education across a broad range of practice areas to foster collaborative practice.
The IPE Summit will kick off with an address from Marsha Johnson, chief learning officer of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers and thought partner in the development and growth of the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs. She leads a national team of complex care experts in technical assistance projects and oversees the Interprofessional Student Hotspotting Learning Collaborative.
The summit will be an opportunity for social work programs and faculty members to advance leadership in interprofessional education. We will explore emerging ideas, apply practical skills, and learn from role models with a goal of affirming and advancing our collective commitment to interprofessional approaches to practice and education.
Who should attend? The IPE Summit is designed for all levels of leaders, faculty members, and field educators interested in IPE. We highly encourage attendance and participation from other disciplines. The summit will be organized in three tracks: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. |
