The Annual Program Meeting (APM) is the preeminent annual meeting for social work educators, students, deans, and directors worldwide. Each year the APM brings together more than 2,500 individual members as well as the largest gathering of graduate and undergraduate programs of professional social work education.

q-icon.png When will I receive registration materials?

a-icon.pngRegistration materials will be distributed on site at the Registration Desk. Please bring your registration confirmation to receive your registration materials. Print or electronic confirmations will be accepted on site, or you may enter your name into a registration terminal to pull up your registration details. The Registration Desk will be in the main lobby of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort hotel. Please note that registration materials will not be mailed to attendees in advance.

q-icon.png How do I get a receipt for my registration?

a-icon.pngAfter you register, you can view and print your confirmation, log in to your registration portal to make changes, print receipts and/or confirmations, and create your itinerary. You will not receive a receipt on site.

q-icon.png What are the student registration categories (member, nonmember, and volunteer)?

a-icon.pngThe student registration categories are as follows:
  • Associate member, student (undergraduate/graduate, or doctoral): Full-time or part-time students who are not CSWE full members (Category 1 under individual members).
  • Nonmember, student (undergraduate/graduate, or doctoral): Full-time or part-time students who are not CSWE members.
  • Student volunteer: Students can volunteer for shifts of 4 consecutive hours on Friday and Saturday, November 5–6, 2021, during daytime hours. There are no evening volunteer hours. Student volunteers pay only $50 for a full conference registration. Students must provide their arrival and departure dates/times.
Full-time and part-time students are eligible; they must not hold a full-time academic appointment. Student enrollment status must be verified for each student registration or membership application and renewal. Confirmation of student membership will be sent after review of the required documentation.

Students must submit verification (see sample letters for one student or multiple students) from their program directors to apm@cswe.org and studentmember@cswe.org with documentation of their enrollment status (degree level) and projected graduation date for that degree level; and confirmation that the student does not hold a full-time professional position, including any academic appointment.

q-icon.png If I am presenting, do I have to register for the meeting?

a-icon.pngYes. All presenters are required to register to present their abstracts and research.

q-icon.png What is the 2021 APM Cancellation and Refund Policy?

a-icon.pngRegistrants must submit registration cancellations via e-mail by October 15, 2021. No requests for refunds will be honored if they are e-mailed after this date. Registrants who do not cancel by October 15, 2021, and fail to attend the APM will be charged the full registration fee. Please note that membership dues are nonrefundable. Refunds will be less a $75 administrative fee and must specify the payee. They will be based on the original form of payment and processed within 30 days after the completion of the meeting. Refunds will not be processed after December 4, 2021.

Please cancel housing reservations directly with your hotel. CSWE is not liable for cancellation fees charged by hotels, airlines, or other means of transportation.

By submitting a completed registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy.

q-icon.png If I submitted a proposal, when will I hear whether it was accepted?

a-icon.pngProvisional proposal acceptance e-mails have been sent. If you did not receive an e-mail, you can check your status online with your proposal ID and password. 

Please make sure to check your junk or spam folder. If you still haven’t received an e-mail, reach out to APMProposals@cswe.org.

a-icon.pngAll education sessions, plenaries, and events will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort hotel from Thursday, November 4, through Sunday, November 7, 2021.

q-icon.png What types of sessions are being offered?

a-icon.pngThe 2021 APM will provide a multitude of educational offerings. APM presentations are organized by tracks, allowing meeting participants to quickly locate and gauge their interest in specific sessions. You can find a list of the 2021 APM tracks here.

Proposals are assigned to tracks by their submitters. Each track is led by two volunteer chairs, who review scores and comments submitted by proposal reviewers and provide recommendations regarding acceptance to the Council on Conferences and Faculty Development. Track chairs and co-chairs may help answer questions related to the tracks' subject areas.

a-icon.pngCSWE will provide support services on request. Please request accessibility services or accommodations for people who experience disabilities at the time of registration and/or 4 weeks in advance to maximize our efforts. Contact information for accessibility services is forthcoming.

a-icon.pngPlease inquire about childcare services with the concierge at your selected hotel. Be certain to make arrangements prior to your arrival in Orlando.

q-icon.png Will there be areas for privacy at the meeting venue (e.g., lactation, prayer, quiet)?

a-icon.pngThe Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort will have designated areas for privacy. Please check back for specific locations and information.

q-icon.png Will there be wheelchairs or scooters available to rent?

a-icon.pngDetails for scooter rental at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort will be available in late fall 2021.

q-icon.png What kind of seating will be available at events for those with mobility needs or who are unable to stand for long periods of time?

a-icon.pngThere will be seating marked “Reserved for Accessible Seating” at all plenaries. All events and receptions will have seating available for those who are unable to stand for long periods of time.

q-icon.png What accessibility services will be available during the plenaries?

a-icon.pngAll plenary events will have interpreting services and will have front-row seating reserved for those with mobility, visual, or interpreting needs.

q-icon.png What shuttle services and transportation are available?

a-icon.pngComplimentary shuttle service will be provided for the 2021 APM from the Hilton Barton Creek. Attendees may walk, take public transportation, or taxi/Uber throughout the city. Read more about Orlando’s public transportation system.

Miscellaneous

a-icon.pngNo meals are included with conference registration. However, food and beverage served at the networking, opening, and closing receptions are complimentary with conference registration.
