2015 WHCOA Resources

Since the 1960s, the White House has convened a Conference on Aging each decade to identify and advance actions that improve the lives of older Americans. 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of MedicareMedicaid, and the Older Americans Act, as well as the 80th anniversary of Social Security. The 2015 White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) recognized the importance of these key programs and identified the following primary issues that will impact older Americans over the next decade: elder justice, healthy aging, retirement security, and long-term services and supports.

The CSWE Gero-Ed Center is collaborating with social work educators to develop teaching resources on each of these issues, which you can find below and in our Teaching Infusion Resources. Additional modules will be added throughout 2015, so please check back for updates.
