Continuing Education

CSWE is pleased to offer continuing education credits (CEs) for eligible APM sessions. CSWE is approved as a CE provider by the Association of Social Works Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program*. For the 2016 APM, five of our seven educational session formats meet the ACE guidelines for continuing education credit (CE) eligibility, including the three preconference workshop formats, interactive workshops, and panels. CE sessions are indicated in the final program by the CE icon:

A full listing of 2016 APM CE sessions times, learning objectives, and speaker information, is available here. You can also learn more about CE procedures, frequently asked questions, and more through the 2016 APM Continuing Education Program Guide. This guide also shared via e-mail with all CE registrants.

Please note that, although ACE provider CEs are accepted by most U.S. state licensing boards, the final authority for approving any continuing education activity rests with social work board of the state where you are licensed. Even those states that accept ACE approval may have exceptions in terms of courses they will accept. Participants are responsible for ensuring that CE sessions they attend are eligible for credit with their state licensing board.

Prior to APM, please read the procedures for receiving credit. Participants are required to comply with these procedures in order to receive CE certificates.

*The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), provider #1163, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program from January 23, 2015 to January 23, 2018.
