2005 National Gerontological Social Work Conference

The 3rd Annual National Gerontological Social Work Conference (NGSWC) was held from February 26 – March 1, 2005 in New York City.

Laura Robbins, Program Executive for the US Program on Aging at the Atlantic Philanthropies was invited to speak on the topic of “Strengthening for the Future of Social Work” and shared many insightful points. There were numerous workshops and special sessions at the conference as well. For a full listing, please view our Final Program.

The Conference was also designated an official White House Conference on Aging event. To commemorate this honor, roundtables (co-sponsored by AGE-SW), were held in New York City. This venue allowed social workers to come together to draft resolutions to send to the White House Conference on Aging policy committee.
