Presenter Compliance Deadline: Friday, May 30

By May 30 all accepted presenters must be both registered for the APM and hold a current CSWE membership that is valid through October 31, 2014. Learn more about the 2014 APM Accepted Presenter Compliance policy.

2014 Hokenstad International Lecture

CSWE is pleased to announce the selection of Asher Ben-Arieh, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as the 2014 Hokenstad International Lecturer. That plenary session will be held on Sunday, October 26.

2014 APM Housing Block

The 2014 APM housing block opened on April 1 and includes the Marriott Tampa Waterside Hotel and Marina, Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown Convention Center, Hilton Tampa Downtown, Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk and The Westin Tampa Harbour Island. For the third consecutive year APM registration rates remain at the 2012 APM fee level. Check the registration rates and policies and begin your online registration here.

2014 APM External Function Requests

These requests are for ancillary events held in conjunction with the 2014 APM activities by exhibiting groups and related organizations, including but not limited to advisory board meetings, business meetings, educational events, focus groups, and social functions. Any organization (commercial and nonprofit) that wishes to hold functions of any size or nature in either 2014 APM meeting properties during the October 23–October 25 time interval must complete an online External Function Request; deadline is Friday, June 20, 2014, at 5:00 pm (USA ET).

Call for Entries, CSWE 2014 Film Festival

Social work-related films may now be submitted for consideration for CSWE’s popular film festival at the APM. The submission deadline is Friday, June 6.

Call for Papers for New Disability Manuscript Award

The Council on Disability and Persons with Disabilities is thrilled to announce a new Disability Manuscript Award. All 2014 APM accepted paper and poster presenters are eligible to submit their manuscript for this award; the submission deadline is Sunday, June 15 at 11:00 am EDT.

2014 APM accepted paper and poster presenters are encouraged to apply for the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Scholarship Award. The submission deadline is Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 10:00 am EDT.
