Online Suicide Prevention Course Now Available

The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) in collaboration with the Harvard Injury Control Research Center, the Injury Center at Dartmouth College, and the creators of the original in-person Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) workshop developed a course designed for providers who counsel people at risk for suicide, primarily mental health and medical providers, but also clergy and social service providers. Providers who successfully complete the course will be eligible to receive 2 clock hours of continuing education credit from the National Board for Certified Counselors and 2 contact hours of social work continuing education from the National Association of Social Workers.

The Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work has published a special issue titled Educating Millennial BSW Students: Innovative Teaching for the New Generation of Social Workers, now available online.
