The Association of Social Work Boards(ASWB) invites you to participate in a survey in support of the organization’s Path to Licensure program about your social work program and the role it plays in the advancement of regulatory education. The survey can be taken online at SurveyMonkey and will also be available at ASWB Booth 302 in the Exhibit Hall at the CSWE APM, October 23–26.
Submission Opportunities for Social Work Distance Education Conference
The Social Work Distance Education Conference, sponsored by the Indiana University School of Social Work and the Council on Social Work Education, has posted submission opportunities on its website. Tracks at the conference include hybrid/blended or completely online program development, teaching and learning social work online, field issues at a distance, administrative strategies and tactics, and practicing in an online world; mark your calendars to attend the conference in Indianapolis, April 15–17, 2015.
ASWB’s Seeks Exam Writers
The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) is seeking qualified social workers to write questions for the licensing exams used in the United States and Canada through its Item Writer Program. Interested applicants must have both a degree in social work and a valid social work license, be currently practicing social work (teaching social work courses is also considered practice), and have the ability to produce 30 multiple choice questions that meet ASWB standards; for more information on how to apply click here.
Health Affairs Call for Papers on the Care of Older Adults
Health Affairs seeks submissions from authors on topics surrounding the care of older adults, including new models of care and the management of multiple chronic conditions among this population; there is no deadline for submissions and papers on these topics as they will be considered on an ongoing basis and considered for publication through 2015.
