CSWE Women's Council Mentor Recognition Fund Deadline

CSWE Council on the Role and Status of Women in Social Work Education invites members to honor their mentor through the Women’s Council Mentor Recognition Fund by briefly describing how the mentor contributes to feminist thought, practice, scholarship, and/or the goals and mission of the Women's Council. Mentors who will be honored will receive an invitation by e-mail to attend the Women’s Council Networking Breakfast at the CSWE 2014 Annual Program Meeting, will have their names listed in the 2014 Women’s Council Breakfast program, and will receive a certificate of recognition; the submission deadline is Friday, October 17.

Service Member to Civilian: A National Summit on Improving Transitions

From December 2–3, 2014, local, state, and federal partners will use the Service Member to Civilian conference to explore education, translational research, and employment dynamics to remove physical, mental, emotional, financial, employment and educational barriers. AERA Research Training Workshop Application Competition

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) announced its 2015 Undergraduate Student Education Research Training Workshop application competition for undergraduate students. Held in April 2015 during the 2015 AERA Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, this workshop is intended to increase the talent pool of undergraduate students who plan to pursue doctorate degrees in education research or in disciplines and fields that examine education issues; the application deadline is December 10, 2014.
