Special Plenary Speaker Announced

Benjamin Todd Jealous, president and chief executive officer of National Association for Advancement of Colored People, will address attendees as this year's Special Plenary Lecturer on Saturday, November 10. His topic is Voting Rights Versus Voting Suppression.

APM Attendees Can Win New IPads

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 11 at 3:15 pm and Monday, November 12 at 9:15 am for our two iPad drawings. Winners must be present in the Exhibit Hall in order to claim their prizes.

"So Others Might Eat" Service Project

CSWE is working to assist the community organization, So Others Might Eat (SOME), in their efforts by making a financial contribution through donations collected at the Annual Program Meeting. A donations collection bin will be available outside of the Exhibit Hall along with material on SOME’s available programs.

Special Guest at 2012 CSWE Film Festival

A special guest will offer her insight at the 2012 CSWE Film Festival. Director Yuriko Gamo Romer will answer questions after the screening of her film Mrs. Judo: Be Strong, Be Gentle, Be Beautiful (on Keiko Fukuda, the 99-year-old judo expert) on Saturday, November 10, at 3:15 pm.

Inaugural SOGE Scholarship Award Winners Announced

Congratulations to the 2012 SOGE Scholarship Award winners Lea Tufford, Peter A. Newman, David J. Brennan, Shelley L. Craig, and Michael R. Woodford. This new award will be presented during APM.

Feminist Scholarship Award

Mollie Lazar Charter is the winner of this year’s Feminist Scholarship Award sponsored by the Women’s Council. The award recognizes a recipient whose work has advanced feminist knowledge as it pertains to social work theory, research, practice, policy and education.
