HRSA and SAMHSA Seek Grant Reviewers

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) are seeking qualified, objective reviewers to read and evaluate grant proposals for the following FY 2014 grant competitions: HRSA-14-077 Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training for Professionals and HRSA-14-126 Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training for Paraprofessionals. Registration Now Open for the 2014 NIMHD Translational Health Disparities Course

The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will host a course on the science of health disparities on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, August 11–22, 2014. This 2-week intensive course will provide specialized instruction on the concepts, principles, methods, and applications of health disparities science, practice, and policy. Applications are due Thursday, May 22, 2014.

Judith Holm Memorial Student Award

The American Clinical Social Work Association’s Judith Holm Memorial Student Award is awarded to final-year students in social work master’s programs based on the judging of a paper that recounts the process of one of their field placement interventions and demonstrates readiness to enter professional practice. The submission deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
