Megan Holmes (UCLA) and Valerie Shapiro (University of Washington) were presented with the 2012 Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) Doctoral Fellows Awards at the 2012 SSWR Annual Conference.

Emily Putnam-Hornstein (University of Southern California) received the 2012 Society for Social Work and Research Outstanding Social Work Doctoral Dissertation Award.

Charu Stokes (Boston College) received the NASW Foundation 2011 Aron Fellowship. The fellowship program was established in 1987 as a tribute to Jane Baerwald Aron, who was a leader in health care policy and education.
