Congratulations to Jagadīśa-Devaśri Dācus, PhD, LMSW
Dr. Dācus (MFP doctoral alumnus, 2014) will receive the 2019 Society for Social Work and Research Outstanding Social Work Doctoral Dissertation Award for his dissertation, “Strengths and Resiliencies of Black MSM in New York City Who Maintain HIV-Seronegativity.” The award will be presented at the Awards Presentation on Saturday, January 19, 2019, 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm, at the 2019 SSWR Annual Conference in San Francisco, CA.

NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program
To combat the nation's opioid crisis, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will launch the NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program (SUD Workforce LRP). The program will support the recruitment and retention of health professionals needed in underserved areas to expand access to SUD treatment and prevent overdose deaths.
